With the rapidly growing market segments of niche and specialty flavored water and non-alcoholic beverages, The Mountain Valley was poised to connect with this market, but needed a line of branded products beyond their core offering to attract this discerning, diverse audience looking for a standout product.
Displayed proudly on the tables of the finest restaurants, The Mountain Valley has earned their place as the “Best-Tasting Water in the World”. Expanding the product line beyond still and sparkling, The Mountain Valley set their sights on the flavored and infused water market. Working across brand strategy, visual and structural packaging design we developed the future of identity for The Mountain Valley flavored line, strengthening their standing as a leader in their segment, and piquing the interest of a new consumer set.
Being mindful of the brand’s rich history and dedicated existing audience, we began exploring the process by sketching and iterating concepts that would honor the heritage of the company while making a splash with new visuals and considering the need for expansion into new markets. With a nod to the original core brand value and promise, we introduced a clearly communicated new layer of brand expression in the form of color illustrations that would work alongside the brand, promoting it’s already deep-seated recognition factors.
