For more than a century, Weyerhaeuser has been growing trees and making forest products that improve lives in fundamental ways including the building of homes. Whether for recreation, conservation or different forms of renewable energy, their products, initiatives and vision follow the building blocks of responsible development. To reflect these values, Weyerhaeuser needed critical positioning assets to inspire internal communications, gain PR exposure and engage their vendor segments.
Weyerhaeuser is one of the largest private landholders in the United States, so the responsibility of transparency and accuracy is great. Upon assessment of the content, a series of infographics were created to become the ideal information delivery method for multiple markets and internal use.
Designed to represent how their houses are built, details of the infographics include specifics of each Weyerhaeuser product used and what types of material are ideal for each application, as well as highlighting some of their distribution facts and figures. Carefully art directed, style development worked off existing branding keeping continuity of color scheme and creating custom illustrations. Of three infographics, two were for public distribution and one for internal – ensuring consistency of delivery, reinforcing messaging to employees and attracting the attention of consumers and builders.
