Legat Architects’ digital experience receives two Gold and four Silver awards, including Gold for Best User Experience and Best Visual Appeal.
Chicago, IL (October 21, 2026) — ArtVersion and Legat Architects have been recognized with six honors in the 22nd Annual Davey Awards, including two Gold and four Silver awards for the digital experience “Legat Architects: Celebrating Yesterday and Crafting Tomorrow.”
The recognition spans user experience, visual design, website redesign, graphics, homepage design, and motion, reflecting the range of disciplines involved in creating a digital presence for Legat Architects that communicates the firm’s work while making its portfolio, expertise, and perspective easier to explore.
The 2026 honors include:
- Gold — Best User Experience
- Gold — Best Visual Appeal / Aesthetic
- Silver — Website Redesign
- Silver — Best Web Graphics
- Silver — Best Home Page
- Silver — Best Use of Video or Motion Graphics
The Davey Awards are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) where industry leaders sit down to recognize creative work produced by small agencies, independent studios, in-house teams, and creators across websites, design, advertising, branded content, video, social media, AI and immersive experiences, mobile applications, and other digital disciplines.
“The Gold recognition for User Experience and Best Visual Aesthetics is especially meaningful because it reflects something we care deeply about: creating an experience that brings visual expression, usability, content, and technology together,” said Erin Lentz, Executive Director of Design at ArtVersion. “Legat’s team brought a strong point of view and a genuine willingness to collaborate throughout the process. These six awards belong to that shared effort.”
The Legat Architects website was developed as more than a visual refresh. The project considered how the architecture firm’s history, capabilities, project portfolio, culture, and future direction could work together within a cohesive digital experience. Information architecture, content hierarchy, visual storytelling, interaction, motion, and usability were treated as interconnected parts of the same system.
That approach was particularly important for a firm whose work spans multiple markets and disciplines. Rather than treating the website as a static portfolio, the experience was structured to help different audiences move through Legat’s work, understand its expertise, and discover the people and ideas behind the practice.
The combination of Gold awards for both User Experience and Visual Appeal recognizes the relationship between those two dimensions. For ArtVersion, visual design and usability were developed together throughout the process, with the goal of creating an experience that could communicate the character of Legat’s work while remaining clear, intuitive, and adaptable across devices.
The additional Silver awards for Website Redesign, Web Graphics, Home Page, and Use of Video or Motion Graphics further recognize individual aspects of the broader digital system.
Under the Davey Awards’ rigorous judging process, each entry is evaluated on its own merit against standards of excellence established by the AIVA. Multiple jurors review each submission using category-specific criteria that consider creative, technical, and strategic achievement.
“Winners this season showed us that big ideas can come from teams of any size,” said Josh Campbell, General Manager of the AIVA. “Congratulations to every one of them, and a heartfelt thank you to the AIVA Jury, whose time and dedication made this celebration possible. We’re honored to spotlight work that proves the creativity coming from small shops truly has No Limits.”
The 2026 Davey Awards recognized work from organizations and creative teams including Ameriprise Financial, NBC Arthouse, Saffron Road Food, PBS Reno, Savannah College of Art and Design, Washington Gas, and many others.
For ArtVersion and Legat Architects, the six awards represent another milestone in an ongoing collaboration centered on thoughtful design, clarity, and the role digital experiences play in communicating an organization’s work.
