Accompanying their recent win for ArtVersion’s website refresh, the team also took home another accolade from awwwards.com, this time, for their website design and development for Art Is Everywhere.
ArtVersion collaborated with the Virginia A. Groot Foundation for a website that commemorated the foundation’s late founder, Candice B. Groot. The website entailed data integration, rich with images, assets, and stories. The overall goal was to digitize Candice’s vast art collection, ranging from over 300 different artists, amassing over 600 pieces. The website was created for both archival and educational purposes of her entire art collection for future generations of artists, collectors, and everyday observers.
ArtVersion also curated stories that functioned as a biographical glimpse into different parts of Candice’s life as an educator, artist, collector, and visionary. Awwwards.com celebrated the website by naming it an honorable mention for design and UI/UX development. The platform celebrates talent in the best web design, development, and agency work all around the world.
“We also worked with the Virginia A. Groot Foundation which provides grants to ceramic and three-dimensional artists and the project required building a refreshed website presence and renewing their brand ecosystem. The redesign of their website went from a static one-page website to a dynamic website that shared their organization’s story,” says ArtVersion strategist Cristina Chaidez.
The design competition also allows digital creators to gain recognition for creativity and seamless digital experiences. The expert jury ranks the best work based on voting criteria that distinguish the best work, and Art Is Everywhere stuck the landing. Previously, ArtVersion received an accolade from awwward.com during their collaboration with the Virginia A. Groot Foundation website. Now, with the new website, both platforms have achieved profound recognition.
“It’s great to be recognized by awwwards. The Art Is Everywhere website was a huge undertaking, but so much fun to work on, and such a privilege to be a part of. As a team, we worked together to honor Candice’s collection with care and craftsmanship,” says ArtVersion designer Matthew Bless.
The honorable mention from awwwards.com was a triumphant feat that not only celebrated ArtVersion’s dedication to designing an amazing user experience but also commemorated the passion and legacy of a renowned artist.
