Realty with a Touch of Tech

Boxlty Realty, a technology based real estate company specializing in residential sales, was in need of app design, branding and website direction. They reached out to the ArtVersion team for guidance as well as development planning of their work-in-progress concepts. Through agile collaboration sessions, design implementation, and UX experience formation, ArtVersion was able to bring Boxlty’s ideas to life.

App Design

A pivotal part to ArtVersion’s collaboration with Boxlty was developing their realty app, Instashow™.

The app allows potential home buyers to visit a property with automated self-access. Biometric security verification and data management within the Instashow™ app, enables faster, much more productive home sale processes.

With that in mind, the ArtVersion team needed to responsively develop user pathways through consistent testing for design execution. The pathways needed to properly account for users on the realtor/buyer end as well as for the home seller. Two different experiences were crafted through in-depth data-driven research as well as UX design implementation.

UI Kit Design for Properties and Pathways

Along with the pathways and emphasizing seamless functionality across the app, ArtVersion’s graphic design team designed and developed a UI kit.

The layout and design were curated with custom iconography and graphic elements that served as visual cues across devices. These designs were also utilized across different segments such as dashboard functionality, and location maps of each property. The round edges of the buttons complimented and aligned with the lines of the graphic elements which helped curate a unified UI kit and design system for both the app and the website.

Color Palette

The Boxlty color palette was established by their team and evoked a vibrancy and a welcoming aesthetic. ArtVersion utilized these colors throughout the app and website design language by interspersing them throughout microinteractions and headers, as well as creatively implementing darker contrast for an added pop of dynamism with the bright pink and blue hues.

Typography

Typography selection can be a great outlet to further showcase a brand’s creativity and edge, but clarity is key. For the Boxlty app and website, readability took priority. ArtVersion selected Open Sans as the typeface for its classic nature and clean lines. The team utilized it in different formatting styles to punctuate important details, titles, and more while balancing it out with thinner weights and strokes.

Logo Design

The logo design took on a minimalistic, yet resonant look and feel. To evoke Boxlty’s positioning in the property and real estate industry, the graphic element resembled a simplified outline of a house—positioned above the text with clean lines and edges. The overall design was composed to convey a sense of modernity and minimalism as opposed to an overly abstract route. The logos were also curated with two iterations of both colors of their brand design language for added variety and style.

Iconography

Custom iconography was designed across platforms to convey microinteractions and visual cues for property listers and lessees. These icons were crafted to complement Boxlty’s technological framework while remaining sufficiently intuitive to be universally comprehensible to all users. Taking into account the specific context in which users interact with these elements, the icons were fashioned to be easily readable and to resonate with the stylistic design of the Boxlty logo and the consistent graphic motifs present across the website and mobile application.

Web Design

ArtVersion elevated the digital presence of the brand by aligning the app design with a revamped website that showcased property listings for buyers, sellers, and lessees.

The website featured an efficient search and filter system, enabling users to quickly find properties by location. Enhancing the user experience, the site also offered streamlined navigation and pathways that effectively communicate Boxlty's story and its cutting-edge technology. To further enrich the website, high-quality images of properties and additional engaging visuals were implemented.

Throughout the website, the design incorporated sharp, squared edges in its visuals and layout elements, reflecting the brand's identity through the motif of a 'box,' adding a subtle yet deliberate touch to the overall aesthetic.
