When meeting anyone, let alone a potential client, it is very important to make a great first impression. This first impression is what they will have to compare you to others if they are deciding what company they want to go with for their project. The key things you should do when making your first impression is to make them feel comfortable so they can picture working with you in the future, really understand their focus and goals to make them realize the project will be meaningful to their company and finally address any questions or concerns they may have in an intelligent yet simple way in which they can understand.
If you make a nice first impression this can lead to great success with acquiring their current project that they want to accomplish along with possible future projects they may have. They might even recommend you to other companies if their experience was successful. Gaining this positive impression can take you a long way.
