HTML5

HTML5 was first released to the public in 2008. It’s the latest and to date most capable of all HTML versions. HTML5 programing language is maintained by the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), a consortium of the major browser vendors: Apple, Google, Mozilla, and Microsoft. HTML5 picked up popularity because of the functionality to serve the video player natively and its capabilities to create rich content delivery and animations in combination with its counterpart CSS3.
